    The Muthanna Journal of Pure Science (MJPS) is a double-blind peer-reviewed research journal that publishes significant developments in multidisciplinary areas of science.

    MJPS is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the College of Science, AL-Muthanna University. The journal was founded in 2012.

    The Muthanna Journal of Pure Science welcomes the submission of researchers for their contributions in the disciplines of pure sciences that have an impact on the field of knowledge and are supportive of original research activities from around the world.

    Frequency of Publication

    MJPS publishes one volume of two issues per year.

    Open Access Statement

    Muthanna Journal of Agricultural Sciences (MJAS) is a fully open access journal. All content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.


    Copyright & Licensing

    Authors who publish with MJAS retain full copyright of their work. Upon acceptance, authors grant MJAS a non-exclusive licence to publish the article under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0 — https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Under this licence, anyone may freely read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all published articles, provided the original work is properly cited. The CC BY 4.0 licence terms are displayed on the full text of every published article.


    Peer Review

    All manuscripts submitted to MJAS undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Neither authors nor reviewers are disclosed to each other during review. Each submission is assessed by at least two independent expert reviewers who are external to the editorial board and free of conflicts of interest. The editorial board aims to communicate a decision to authors within four months of submission. Full details of the peer review process are available on the Publication Ethics page.


    Digital Preservation

    This journal utilises the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to ensure the long-term digital preservation of its published content. The PKP PN is a LOCKSS-based distributed preservation service that provides secure, decentralised archiving of all published articles.

    Article Processing Charges

    MJAS charges a publication fee of USD 75 (or 100,000 IQD) per accepted article to cover editorial processing costs. Charges are payable only upon acceptance and do not influence editorial decisions. There are no submission fees. No waiver programme is currently available; authors who face financial hardship are encouraged to contact the editorial office at [email protected] to discuss their situation.


    Archiving & Indexing

    MJAS is assigned DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) to all published articles via the prefix 10.52113. The journal is indexed in the Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals system (IASJ) and is actively seeking inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
