Abstract

The study examined 8 concrete deep beam models 7 with strut and one reference with normal reinforcement tested by use abaqus program and. The specimens were tested under two points load. It was observed that the strut reinforcement technique was more effective than conventional reinforcement. , Upon examining the results, it was observed that the strut reinforcement technique was more effective than conventional reinforcement, providing an (5% ~10%) increase in strength depending on the type of concrete used. Additionally, it resulted in a decrease of (6 ~ 42%) in the amount of compression reinforcement needed.
