Abstract

The research revolves around the legal responsibility of the student when he causes damage to school property, which is considered public money allocated for the educational process. Any damage or negligence by the student towards this property is considered a violation of the law, and results in his liability for negligence, which obligates him to compensate for the damage caused. The student is not exempted from responsibility by claiming ignorance of the law or lack of intent, as he remains responsible for his harmful act. Since the competent authority, represented by the Ministry of Education, provides this property to serve the student and develop his abilities, therefore, damaging it is considered an assault on public property, and requires the student to bear a legal penalty commensurate with the damage caused.
