Review Policy
Al-Muthanna Journal for Legal and Political Sciences adopts a rigorous peer review system as a core mechanism to ensure the academic quality and integrity of the research it publishes. The journal applies a Double-Blind Peer Review process in accordance with the following procedure:
-
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to verify their originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, and compliance with submission guidelines. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject manuscripts at this stage without providing reasons.
-
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with recognized expertise in the relevant field. The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept strictly confidential throughout the review process.
-
Manuscripts are evaluated based on clear academic criteria, including originality, methodological rigor, scholarly contribution, validity of conclusions, and accuracy of references.
-
In cases where reviewers’ reports are conflicting, the manuscript is referred to a third independent reviewer for further evaluation, whose report is taken into consideration in the decision-making process.
-
When revisions are required, authors are requested to submit the revised manuscript within 14 days from the date of notification, addressing all reviewers’ comments.
-
A manuscript is considered withdrawn if the author fails to submit the required revisions within the specified timeframe without a justified reason accepted by the Editorial Board.
-
The Editorial Board makes the final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of manuscripts based on the peer review reports and in accordance with the journal’s academic standards.
